You find pleasure in knowing that at this very moment, everything just feels right. It's a special sense of freedom that comes only from charting your own course in life.

As a boy, Bob Barnum would spend many of his summers off on his own sailboat that his grandfather bought for him. He relished the sense of freedom it brought and would spend four to five hours a day sailing on the waters off of St. Michaels, Maryland. These carefree days of summer are some of his fondest memories of growing up and they still stick with him to this day. "The feeling of harnessing the wind and the anticipation of seeing it rippling across the water after being adrift for some time is very special. There's simply nothing quite like it," says Bob, fondly reminiscing.

Bob learned during these formative years that making your own path in life reaps the greatest rewards. Our futures are what we make of them and Bob chose to forge his as a real estate professional in the Hampton Roads area.
